John has been an educator for most of his professional career with time also devoted to project managing educational projects overseas. He is a performance coach and development coach in life, sports and health sectors and a mindfulness teacher.
Presently John works as a Well Being coach, teaching mindfulness and leading guided meditations.
He is qualified in coaching, life coaching, mindful based stress reduction, neuro-linguistic programming, skiing, and holds two post graduate diplomas one in sports coaching and a second in mindfulness. In 2014 he completed a master’s degree (MSc) in Mindfulness Studies at Aberdeen University.
His approaches draw from the Yoga sciences, contemporary psychology, eastern teachings, coaching methodology and holistic medicine.
His coaching creed includes aiming to making himself redundant; where his students achieve autonomy and eventually become their own skillful guide.
